Colour concrete is standard structural concrete with a decorative colour treatment added, either as an integrated pigment mixed through the concrete before pouring, or as a colour hardener broadcast onto the surface and worked in during finishing.

Both methods change the appearance of the slab, not its underlying strength. Colour concrete uses the same base preparation, reinforcement and mix design principles as any other concrete surface.
